The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual, nationwide walk to raise awareness and funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Leslie participated in the walk with gusto, from her first year of diagnosis, to her final year when she crossed the Brooklyn Bridge in a wheelchair. Lawrence intends to continue fundraising in her memory each year to keep her spirit alive. Team Shamrock is named for Leslie's transplant date: St. Patrick's Day, 2003.
2008 Light the NightLawrence changed jobs, and did not have a company team and matching donations, but your donations were again quite generous! The old company team at Carat not only continued, but the company also did a walk sponsorship. Photos of the 2008 Manhattan walk forthcoming.
Team Shamrock Total Donations: $6,321 2007 Light the NightYour wonderful donations helped us raise $20,000. Thank you so much! The winner of the iPod for highest team fundraiser was Rachel Sanderson, an AOII alum, who selflessly donated the money back to the team. A generous last-minute donation from an old high school classmate of Leslie's put us at exactly 20k. Photos of the 2007 Manhattan walk. Photos of the 2007 Chicago walk. Donations Breakdown
